Rebellions, South Korea's artificial intelligence (AI) chip design startup, said on Tuesday that it partnered with the UK-based semiconductor design company ARM, Samsung Electronics Co., and ADTechnology to develop a new AI central processing unit (CPU) chiplet.
Rebellions will integrate its AI accelerator, REBEL, with ADTechnology’s compute chiplet powered by Arm® Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS) V3 technology.
ADTechnology will design and implement the solution using Samsung Electronics' advanced 2nm cutting-edge process technology, ensuring the production of high-quality chips.
A chiplet is a tiny integrated circuit (IC) containing a well-defined functionality subset. It is designed to be combined with other chiplets on an interposer in a single package to create a complex component such as a computer processor.
