Hana Asset Management Co. will list the “1Q US Nasdaq 100 ETF” on Tuesday, an exchange-traded fund that tracks the Nasdaq 100 index with the world’s lowest fee, the South Korean firm said on Monday.
The ETF charges an annual fee of 0.0055%, making it the lowest-cost Nasdaq 100 ETF both in Korea and globally.
The Nasdaq 100 comprises 100 leading US tech stocks listed on the Nasdaq, including Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., Nvidia Corp., Tesla Inc. and Palantir Technologies.
Retail investors in South Korea have poured more than 1.4 trillion won ($1 billion) into locally listed Nasdaq 100 ETFs so far this year.
The latest ETF will offer quarterly distributions in March, June, September and December.
Hana Asset has expanded its ETF lineup, listing multiple index and active strategies including the 1Q US Dividend 30, 1Q S&P 500 and 1Q US S&P 500–Treasury 50 Mixed Active ETF this year.
“Low fees are a global trend as minimizing costs like management fees are critical for long-term index performance,” Kim Tae-woo, chief executive of Hana Asset Management, said in a statement. “We aim to continue delivering competitive products such as the 1Q US Nasdaq 100 ETF for retirement and long-term investors.”
