South Korea's Hyundai Transys Inc., an auto parts affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group, said on Wednesday that it ranked first for the first time in the compact car seat evaluation in the "2024 US Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study" for general brands, published by the US market research firm J.D Power.
This survey was conducted by collecting complaints per 100 vehicles from 99,144 people who had owned 2024 model-year vehicles for more than 90 days in the US.
Hyundai Transys has been the only domestic company to be included in the Top 3 in J.D. Power's Seat Quality Satisfaction Survey for five consecutive years since 2020.
Hyundai Transys currently operates 33 business sites in 11 countries.
With the completion of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), an EV-exclusive plant in the suburbs of Savannah, Georgia, the company plans to produce EV seats at the Savannah facility to support the group's electrification business.
