Bebesup, a leading South Korean baby skincare and wipe brand, has secured a registration certificate from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for its infant and toddler skincare products, a move expected to expedite the company’s global expansion, it said on Tuesday.

The company stated that the certificate confirms the safety and quality of its products, noting that China’s NMPA is recognized for its rigorous and comprehensive evaluation system for children’s skincare, which could take a maximum of a year.

NMPA is the national regulatory body responsible for the supervision of drugs, medical devices and cosmetics in China.

With the certificate, Bebesup will accelerate its advance into not only the Chinese market but also other parts of the world, the company said.

“We are also committed to further developing cosmeceuticals that are safe for sensitive baby skin,” added the company in a statement.

Founded in 1995, Bebesup has focused exclusively on baby skincare, gaining industry recognition for its proprietary ingredient, Rice Cerabiome.

Clinically proven to deliver deep hydration and improve skin condition, Rice Cerabiome contains rice-derived ceramides and other beneficial ingredients, which are specifically formulated to support the delicate skin of newborns.

This unique ingredient is featured across Bebesup’s high-moisture product line, including baby lotion, cream, soothing gel and top-to-toe wash.

Bebesup earned the highest “Excellent” rating from Germany’s Dermatest, an independent dermatology test institute, for these products in the atopic (eczema-prone) skin category, marking a first for a Korean company.
