South Korea's electronics giant LG Electronics Co. announced on Monday that starting on the same day it would release the world's first OLED gaming monitors with a 240-Hz refresh rate to provide an immersive gaming experience in the US.

The new models, to be released simultaneously, include the 45-inch curved UltraGear OLED monitor and the 27-inch OLED monitor and were designed for gamers who want to enjoy high-definition games without delay or interruption.

There are three types of LG OLED gaming monitors, including the 48-inch UltraGear model released in June.

The new product, 45GR95QE, is the world's first OLED monitor to support the 240-Hz refresh rate and 0.1-millisecond gray-to-gray response time, offering excellent picture quality and speed.

In addition to being LG’s first 45-inch curved OLED gaming monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, it is also the company’s first-ever display to combine a 45-inch screen size with an 800R curvature; a pairing that helps boost the user's sense of immersion.

As a result, gamers can see the entire screen at a glance even when it is used at a desk with a close viewing distance.

The product won the "Innovation Awards" in the Computer Hardware & Components category ahead of the opening of the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest consumer electronics exhibition, to be held in January next year.

Starting sales of the produce at online brand shops in the US, LG plans to release it sequentially to major countries in the world such as Canada and Korea early next year.
