BTS member V is set to throw out the ceremonial pitch at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 25, following his discharge from the military in June.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on their official Instagram page on Monday: “ARMY, you ready? V will be at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 25 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch!”

News of his baseball debut has fans buzzing with excitement, with the announcement quickly garnering 158,000 likes.

ARMY refers to the boy band’s devoted fandom.

Following the announcement, ticketing platforms experienced a surge in traffic that temporarily disrupted access.

After all seven members, including J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, RM and JungKook, completed their mandatory military service, BTS has reunited in the US to prepare for their comeback as a full group. Suga fulfilled his service through public duty, instead of military service.  

They are returning with a new album in spring 2026, followed by a full-scale world tour – their first since their 2022 anthology album Proof and the Yet to Come concert in Busan.
