BTS’s first live act album Permission to Dance on Stage – Live debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated Aug. 2, according to Billboard’s official website.
Released on July 18, the live act is among the few in recent years to enter the upper ranks of the Billboard 200 without including a new song.
BTS has now placed 16 albums on the Billboard 200, including six that reached No. 1, such as the anthology Proof and the studio album Map of the Soul: 7.
The group notched its eighth top 10 with the Permission to Dance on Stage – Live.
The boy group also became the third artist since 2020 — following Taylor Swift and Metallica — to enter the Billboard 200’s top 10 with a live album.
The album marks BTS’ first-ever live concert recording from their Permission to Dance On Stage world tour in 12 shows.
The performances, held in Seoul, Los Angeles and Las Vegas between 2021 and 2022, featured both in-person and virtual audiences.
The live set album has notched up 36,000 in album sales, 5,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units and 2,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units, according to Billboard.
