Com2uS Corps. will release a variety of new game titles this year with the goal of reaching 100 billion won ($78.6 million) in global sales for each game.

The South Korean game publisher said on Friday that it would begin global service of its MMORPG (multiplayer online role-playing game) Summoners War: Chronicles in the first quarter of this year.

World of Zenonia, developed by Com2uS and serviced by Com2uS Holdings Corp., is also scheduled for launch in the first half of the year. The original Zenonia has released a total of seven series since 2008, achieving a global cumulative download number of 63 million, and is the first Korean game title to top the US Apple App Store.

A new mobile game based on the Walking Dead IP that caused the world a "zombie craze" will also be released this year. Based on the original screenplay, it is a complex puzzle RPG (role-playing game) that combines a thrilling story with a "match-three puzzle" game format. After beta testing in Canada and Thailand last year, the title is currently in the final stages of release.

"After the long-term success of Summoners War: Sky Arena and the baseball game lineup that recorded the highest annual sales, we will expand our portfolio of global hits with the goal of achieving the 100 billion won club of key titles such as Chronicle and World of Zenonia," said a Com2uS official.
