South Korea's IT security service firm SK Shieldus made an announcement on Thursday that they will be providing control and operation, investigation and analysis of infringement traces that are specialized in endpoint detection and response (EDR). EDR is a recently introduced solution that offers preemptive detection and response to security threats that occur in endpoints such as desktop computers and servers.
SK Shieldus is offering EDR operation management and control services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year depending on the corporate environment. The company also analyzes the threat path, attack type and risk level from different angles to establish a countermeasure for each attack stage.
Furthermore, SK Shieldus is offering services that are focused on strengthening corporate security capabilities, such as managed detection and response (MDR) emergency analysis reports and the provision of indicator-of-compromise (IoC) information analyzed by SK Shieldus, including malicious IPs and URLs.
In the future, SK Shieldus is planning to promote an extended detection response (XDR) solution that can preemptively detect and respond by expanding the scope to EDR solutions and other security devices.
"Recently, ransomware attacks and advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks are intensifying, so it is time for companies to build a system that can detect and respond to security threats in advance. SK Shieldus will lead the market based on its unparalleled security capabilities," said Kim Byeong-moo, the head of SK Shieldus' Cloud Business Unit.
