SK Hynix Inc., the world’s second-largest memory chipmaker, unveiled its latest product, the Beetle X31, a portable Solid State Drive (SSD) designed for general consumers in the domestic market, as announced on May 5.

The X31 stands as SK Hynix's debut external SSD offering, distinguishing itself with its rapid operation speed of 10Gbps (10 gigabits per second) and its outstanding heat management capabilities. Praised for its exceptional performance, convenient portability, and stylish design, the X31 has already garnered considerable attention.

Portable SSDs have gained increasing popularity as a sought-after portable storage solution. To address the crucial requirements of swift read and write performance, reliability, and portability, the X31 was meticulously engineered.

Featuring a sequential read speed of up to 1050MB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 1000MB/s, the X31 efficiently transfers a 1GB file in a single second.

Notably, it incorporates a balanced technology that effectively manages heat generated by rapid data movement while sustaining optimal data storage speeds.

With this product, users can transfer over 500GB of data at an average speed of 900MB/s in just 9 minutes. Furthermore, the X31's aluminum outer case ensures both heat dissipation and device durability.

Having undergone a 2-meter drop test meeting internal standards, this SSD has demonstrated its resilience against physical impact. To inspire consumer confidence, SK Hynix offers a 3-year product warranty.
