The top executives of South Korea's SK Innovation Co. and SK Hynix Inc. will discuss future growth strategies with outstanding global talent in Silicon Valley, California, the US.

SK Innovation and SK Hynix announced on Wednesday that they will hold the 2023 SK Global Forum in San Jose until June 25.

The SK Global Forum, which has been held since 2012, invites outstanding local talent working in fields such as semiconductors, energy and batteries to discuss SK Group's growth strategies and advanced technological trends, while also providing opportunities for hiring.

This year, major affiliates such as SK Innovation and SK Hynix host the forum.

SK Innovation has organized programs including discussions and expert lectures with a focus on the achievements of the New Green Portfolio strategy, such as electrification and resource recycling, coinciding with the first year of implementing All-time Net Zero.

Local experts, including doctoral and post-doctoral students from prestigious universities and research institutes, as well as global corporate employees in the fields of eco-friendly materials and resource recycling, will attend and share the latest technologies and market trends in future energy.

The discussions will cover six main themes, including clean energy, resource recycling and secondary batteries, and there will also be special discussions to explore advanced technologies for each subsidiary's pioneering projects.

Attending the forum will be key executives from SK Innovation, including Vice Chairman Kim Jun, as well as Na Kyung-soo, CEO of SK Geo Centric, Jee Dong-seob, CEO of SK On and Park Sang-kyu, CEO of SK Enmove, among others.

An SK Innovation official stated that the global forum is a platform for SK Innovation and global core talents to share insights and visions for new growth. He added that his company will continue to expand technological capabilities and networking to accelerate the execution of SK Innovation's financial story, the Carbon-to-Green strategy.

From SK Hynix, CEO Kwak Noh-jung, along with around 10 executives and in-house technology experts, including Cha Seon-yong, Head of the Future Technology Research Institute, Hong Sang-hoo, Head of Packaging & Testing, Oh Jong-hoon, Memory System Research Division and Shin Sang-kyu, Corporate Culture Division, will attend the event.

SK Hynix plans to hold three sessions at this forum, focusing on process and device, advanced packaging and system architecture, to discuss future strategies and semiconductor technology development directions.
