Genesis ranks top in J.D. Power’s new car advanced tech survey

Hyundai Motor’s premium brand has been recognized for its strong advanced tech strategy, surpassing Cadillac and Lexus

Hyundai Motor Co.'s premium brand Genesis secured first place in J.D. Power 2023 Tech Experience Index (TXI) study 

In this year’s J.D. Power TXI study, Genesis ranks highest overall and highest among premium brands with a score of 643 on a 1,000-point scale. It surpassed rivals such as Cadillac (533 points), Lexus (533), and BMW (528). 

The 2023 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study is based on responses from 82,472 owners of new 2023 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study was fielded from February through May 2023.

TXI analyzes 40 automotive technologies, which are divided into four categories: convenience; emerging automation; energy and sustainability; and infotainment and connectivity.

Genesis achieved the highest score across luxury and mainstream brands with 656 points, marking its third consecutive year as the top-ranked brand overall.

Hyundai Motor won the top post among mass market brands for the fourth straight year with a score of 547. It ranked second overall among all brands. 

Genesis GV80 and Hyundai Palisade got TXI's Advanced Technology Award. Genesis GV80 is praised for front cross traffic warning. Hyundai Palisade was recognized for reverse automatic emergency braking.
