South Korea's LG Display Co. on Thursday showcased the futuristic clothing and bag concepts featuring stretchable displays at the 2025 S/S Seoul Fashion Week held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Stretchable displays can be manipulated by stretching, folding, or twisting into various forms.
In 2022, LG Display became the industry’s first to develop a 30cm (12-inch) screen that can expand to 35cm (14 inches).
This screen offers a high resolution of 100 pixels per inch (ppi) and full RGB color, comparable to standard monitors.
The company expects the use of stretchable displays to expand. Their thin, lightweight properties allow them to adhere to irregular surfaces, such as clothing and skin.
LG Display foresees wide applications across fashion, wearable technology, and mobility sectors.
