SK Shieldus Co., the unmanned security subsidiary of South Korea's SK Group, announced on Friday that it has signed an agreement with CP6, a domestic automated-driving car accident analysis startup, to expand its business into the security of autonomous vehicles.

The two companies will collaborate on projects to identify and address vulnerabilities in self-driving cars.

SK Shieldus possesses the white-hacker group EQST and has extensive experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and security consulting across various industries.

CP6 possesses the necessary tools and utilizes a living lab to conduct vulnerability assessments for autonomous vehicles.

"SK Shieldus's security expertise combined with CP6's autonomous vehicle technology will enable us to establish new standards for autonomous vehicle security," said Kim Byung-Moo, head of SK Shieldus's Information Security Business Division.
